Paddle with a Purpose Watershed Celebration at Tidewater Farm

Paddle with a Purpose is a community event highlighting the Presumpscot River, the largest freshwater source flowing into Casco Bay. Jen Deraspe, a Westbrook resident and Registered Maine Guide, will embark on a solo canoe journey from Bethel to Casco Bay—85 miles in eight days, May 5-13—to raise awareness and support for Friends of the Presumpscot River and Friends of Casco Bay. Her goal is to raise at least $5,000 to protect these vital waters.

Join us on May 13 to celebrate Jen’s journey, hear stories from the expedition, and learn how you can support the health of our local waters. The event will feature a special Water Blessing and Land Acknowledgment with Mihku Paul, reflections from Jen, and insights from both organizations. All are welcome. Rain or shine. Light refreshments will be served. Learn more
